Christian Focus
Hakuna Matata Christian Preschool is Christ-centered. Upon arrival each morning we read a daily devotional, have a group discussion following, and pray before we begin our day. We also pray before we eat our snack. Once a month children will learn about a story from the Bible and do activities centered around the story. Children will also memorize bible verses and learn many songs about Jesus during our music time throughout the year. Children will learn God’s love for them and he will be integrated in our everyday experiences. Curriculum Zoo phonics- Uses animals drawn in the shapes of the letters to help with the child’s memorization of the letters. A related body movement is given for each letter. This program exceeds state standards in Early Literacy. Creative Curriculum- Researched based curriculum that builds on children’s strengths and interests. This curriculum aligns with all of Pre-k state standards. Handwriting Without Tears- This program helps with fine motor skill building by introducing lowercase letter and capital letter formation. |
